Rajat and Disha's Proposal
AHHHHH!!!! Two of my besties got engaged!!! Rajat was originally hesitant to ask me because he didn’t want me to do work during one of my best friends proposals! Which is totally valid, but I did tell him that specifically for proposals, I don’t think of it as a job and at any point if he changes his mind to let me know and at some point, he reached out again and asked me to photograph the proposal and I was over the moon about it!
I was already going to be in California for a wedding and it worked out that I could stay a little bit longer for the proposal and after months of planning and logistical coordination, the day was here! He even chose Half Moon Bay for the location because they visited years ago and it was such a romantical moment that he wanted to recreate those vibes. Unfortunately, Disha totally forgot this happened but that made it so much funnier :)
I even got a new 70-200 mm lens for this proposal because I was so scared that she was going to see me and if she saw me that would ruin the entire surprise. While I was capturing the proposal, Disha even pointed towards me, and I thought that she had spotted me, but luckily, she did not realize it was me at all! I found out that wearing a jacket with a hood apparently makes me look like a man and so it’s the perfect disguise while Rajat got down on one knee and proposed! Disha then saw me and I was truly so thankful that I was able to witness their love story hit the next milestone. And now, I get to share these photos with all of you!!
